The Hamilton Volunteer Rescue Squad is an
ALL-VOLUNTEER agency, one of only 4 all-volunteer departments remaining
in Loudoun County.
Our department relies heavily on
donations from citizens and business in our community. On average,
our department spends over $150,000 on equipment, supplies, training, and repairs annually.
In 2004, our department made some of the largest
purchases in department history to replace aging equipment.
Donations from those who we serve help offset these costs & help us to
purchase new equipment in the future.
In 2005, our department will be looking to
upgrade several of our LifePak®
defibrillators, at a cost of approximately $12,000 each, and possibly to
refurbish one of our ambulances.
Please consider making a donation to our
department. Your donation is tax deductible, and donation receipts
are provided upon request. Make donations to:

Replaced existing older turnout gear issued
to each member. Turnout gear is the coat/jacket set
that you traditionally see firefighters wearing into
structure fires. Many of our members are also
firefighters, and needed gear capable of assisting with fire
suppression as needed. Members also use the
protective gear during vehicle extrication & other
specialized rescues.
Replaced old, worn gear, much of
which was out-of-date, heavier gear.

New Swiftwater Rescue Gear (Drysuits, Gloves, and Boots) Used to
protect our Swiftwater Rescue Technicians (SRT's) during
boat & other water rescue operations. The HVRS is
1 of 3 stations that provide Swiftwater & boat rescue services
in Loudoun County, and has the largest water rescue coverage
area of those 3 departments.
Drysuits, Gloves, & Boots are all new
equipment. Previously, SRT's had no in-water
protective equipment aside from life vests & helmets.
Drysuits & accessories will protect SRT's from debris in
